Leadership Team
In addition to the Leadership Team below there are many individuals who are part of Team Crosthwaite and who have a significant part to play in the diverse ministry and maintenance of the Crosthwaite Church

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
1 Corinthians 12:27
Rev'd Andy Murphie
Vicar
I’m originally from Burnley in Lancashire and I love football and running! Before coming to Keswick in 2018, I was a vicar in South Derbyshire. I’m married to Judith and we have two sons – Joel and Josh. I believe there’s a place for everyone in God’s giant-jigsaw church. Can we help you find yours?

Keith Rigg
Reader
I'm married to Linda and we moved to Keswick in 2018 from Nottingham following retirement after 37 years in the NHS, most of which was spent as a surgeon. In this next stage of life I'm enjoying being part of Crosthwaite Church, volunteering in different ways in the community, walking, enjoying nature and following Nottingham Forest.
Rev'd Mike Hanson
Associate Minister
We both worked in ministry before marriage and since our marriage in 1992 have seen ourselves as a team rather than as individuals in ministry. Whilst Mike is more visible up front Christine's support is indispensable.
Mike: Teacher at Leeds Grammar School and also ordained in 1984 becoming School Chaplain and non-stipendiary minister at St George's Church, Leeds. Retired early in 1999 and moved to Cumbria.
Christine: Ran her own hairdressing business, and then called to full time church administration and served on the staff of St George's Church as full time administrator for 20 years.
Linda Rigg
Churchwarden
Since returning to Cumbria we have been warmly welcomed at Crosthwaite and Underskiddaw and becoming church warden is a great way to continue that involvement. With a lot of help, I’m gradually getting to know how everything works!
It’s good to be part of a local church and I believe that we can best live out our faith when we are linked to other followers of Jesus.
I’m married to Keith and enjoy walking, gardening and spending time with family and friends in this beautiful part of the world.
